With this Wiki being geared towards educational information, I would prefer that we set up our rating system on the scale of 1-5 rating.
Resources Page
This page has been set up and I like how the categories were labeled. I feel that categories are appropriate and if need be we can make changes to this page as we see needed.
Front Page
Since we are all educators I chose the pages to look like a notebook. I am open to whatever type of layout works best for our project.
These are just my opinions on how our Wiki should be organized. (Shelly)
Hi Shelly. Thank you for taking the incentive on setting this whole thing up. Everything you have done looks great so far. I also agree with the 1-5 rating system. -Ryan
Shelly, I agree on the 1-5 rating scale. I also like how you have set everything up. Thank you again for creating this wiki! I will try and play around with our wiki to see about adding more detail. I think we are off to a great start! (Jacqueline)
I am also fine with the 1-5 rating scale. How does everyone want to evaluate each resource? Should we each evaluate each source and come to a consensus, or assign people to look at certain resources, or some other way? I'm open to whatever. -Leslie
Leslie, I think we should rate our own sources since most likely the sources we give are ones that we are most experienced with and we know exactly how effective they are. This would also help the rest of us in eliminating sources that aren't as resourceful as others in our particular subject areas. Shelly, what do you think?
I think if we all rate our own pages then this leads to bias. There are obvious reasons that we all like or use certain pages. I made a scale and posted it on the front page. I think we should all look at the sites posted and individually rate them based upon what we find to be beneficial to teachers and what is missing. We could put in a table so that everyone can rate the sites and then average the rankings. (Shelly)
Sounds great! I agree! (Jackie)
Shelly, I agree that rating our own sites leads to bias. We wouldn't have posted them if we didn't think they were good resources. -Leslie
Can anyone clarify if we are to submit 3 Blog links or 3 resource links in general? I posted 3 elementary resources, but after rereading the overview, it appears we were to submit our blog resource links.
I think we are each supposed to have three resources total. Leslie
Hi Shelly, thank you so much for setting this up, I love the way the notebook pages look, very appropriate for teachers and I like the rating system we will be implementing. ~Melissa
